Codex Mondragonis gathers work on the Voynich Manuscript carried out with a simple principle: every claim must be compared with chance, and a result that does not beat it does not count. The tools are reproducible and the data published, open to anyone who wants to check them.

The pact with the reader
- Rigor with a baseline. Every hypothesis and every match are always compared with a random control. It is the ethical heart of the project.
- Honesty of the message. We always separate what is measured from what is a hypothesis. We do not use the word 'deciphered': we speak of identified origin, interpreted structure, reconstructed lexicon.
- EVA only as notation. Never as a reading of the text.
- Respect for copyright. Third-party works are catalogued, not reproduced. The scans are Yale's, for consultation. The letter translations are original.
